Our Mission Statement
UC Riverside has a rich history of opening the door of opportunity and access to higher education for eligible students across the country regardless of race, ethnicity, or culture. The current UC Riverside TRiO Scholars Program was funded in August 2010 with an award to UCR of approximately $300,000 per year through 2014-2015.
We promote the academic, social, personal, and professional success of all our students by building a strong sense of community and drawing on resources both within and outside of the
program. We strive to provide students with tools and support to succeed and excel at UC Riverside and beyond.
Connecting Students
The TRiO Scholars Program provides academic assistance from the first day of your freshman year at UC Riverside all the way through graduation. Academic support and individual tutoring, faculty mentoring, financial advising, and career and graduate school counseling are some of the many services TRiO Scholars will receive once admitted to the program. This valuable service costs nothing but provides scholar participants with the tools they will need to be successful at UC Riverside.
