Hate/Bias Incident Reporting

Back to HBRT Home

Are you the victim/witness of a hate crime or bias incident?

Complete a Hate/Bias Incident Report Form (*pdf) or speak to a member of the Hate/Bias Response Team. When you report a hate/bias related crime/incident to the Assistant Dean of Students or Student Development Educator (either in person or by filling out an Incident Reporting Form and turning it in to the AVC/DOS office), you are a partner with us as we use the information that you have shared to respond to your incident/crime with resources, support, reporting options, and community education.

When thinking about reporting a hate/bias related incident/crime, students have several options. The UC Riverside Hate/Bias Response Team can assist reporting parties with the process of reporting a hate/bias related crime/incident.

Reporting Hate Crimes - you have several options beyond the Hate/Bias Incident Report Form:
  • File only a criminal report through the police in the City of Riverside or the University which may be addressed through actions in the courts
  • File an incident report with Student Conduct & Academic Integrity Programs which may be addressed through the University disciplinary process
  • File both a criminal report and an incident report
For more information regarding reporting options contact:
Campus Police:
